Amazing Pizza Oven!

Creation of this tiny pizza oven was possible due to the enthusiasm of super creative, supportive and hardworking group of children (and their parents!) that came to the Clay Modeling Summer Camp last week!

We started with digging our local clay soil and bringing it to experiment with. Hard work!

Our simple bowls held well the next day, so we did more of just hand modeling before going into the serious stuff!

Cob making!

And pizza oven building! We used a basket as a inner form, covered with cob and eventually cut the opening, dried from the inside by burning small fire and the next day more fire to heat it up for baking.

And even though not all of those pizzas were baked in the cob oven (only small ones were. Large used the home oven simultaneously), but it was fun and tasty and great experience whatsoever!!!
